Urban NW HOmes
Troy Johns, a Vancouver, WA native, has been on the board of Washington D.C. based Home Innovation Research Labs since 2012. This group created the first ever ANSI (American National Standards Institute) green building certification process known as NGBS, or the National Green Building Standard, of which Troy is now the Chairman of 8 years. Troy's ultimate goal is to bring healthier homes to all market price points, which is why every home built by Urban NW Homes, no matter its selling price, is proudly certified NGBS. Recently, Troy was asked to sit on the NAHB's (National Association of Home Builders) Green Building Committee whos leadership will guide the nation forward into green sustainable housing. Troys Building company constructs over 100 homes per year and develops 1 to 200 lots per year. When Troy is not working he likes to build forts with his two boys.
