After success in the computer industry, Michael and his partners formed ECI Development in 1996. The residential resort company currently develops communities in Belize, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, with expansion plans in Chile, Argentina and Ecuador. Its assets include five miles of beachfront, 4,000 acres, a golf course, hotels, along with commercial and residential properties.
Michael provides his expertise on matters relating to international real estate finance, development and ownership. He consulted for The Oxford Club, contributes to trade publications, writes a weekly column for The Escape Artist and serves on the board of several multinational companies, including an international bank in Belize. He was a director for the National Association of REALTORS® in 2017 and now serves on the Global Business and Alliances Committee for NAR.
