The Committee will review the 2018 goals and accomplishments and receive updates on the Housing Opportunity Program. Carlos Fuentes, CCIM (FL) will speak to members about the process and challenges of affordable housing development. There will be a discussion about the benefits of beginning financial education at an early age, the unique financial challenges of young adults, and best practices for creating local programs. In addition, Committee members will share innovative housing efforts happening in their communities.
There is one possible action item. The Committee will discuss the idea of moving forward a recommendation for NAR to support national strategies and local efforts around financial education for school-aged children and young adults.
